Sharing My Talent

Hello! Sorry I haven't posted in awhile (about 2 weeks to be exact) but anyhow, I have some exciting news!
I wrote a spiritual poem called, "In my World" and my mom thought the reverend at our church (New Thought Unity Center) would like it.
She E-mailed it to her and she asked me to read it at both services! I'm a bit nervous, because the second service is huge, but I'm going to practice reading it.
They decided to plan the date later on.
And for a special treat, here is that poem:

In My World

In my world, we’d all be friends;
Laughing together, smiling together, uniting together.

In my world, there’d be no war,
For we all respect each other and love each other as one.

In my world, we’d be more diverse,
We’d love blacks, whites, Hispanics, Asians, and Native Americans all equally.

In my world, we wouldn’t think someone’s better than the other,
Because no one is; we’re all equally powerful.

In my world, we’d all think the same thing,
God created me this way, and I like it.

In our world, we laugh at the different,
Which isn’t right, because we’re all the same.

In our world, we have wars to settle our problems,
Which just isn’t good, all it causes is hatred.

In our world, my world is a fantasy,
But I believe, if we try, we can make it that way.

Just remember…we are all children of God.

I wrote the poem one normal day in school when I was bored. It's amazing what comes to me, when I feel like it.

Keep on writing,
Chrissy
