Young Women Writing for a Change Part 2

Today, I went to Young Women Writing for a Change sampler and wrote two great poems. I'm definatly going there for the summer camp!
Ok, so do want to hear one of the poems I wrote? My Treat. Here is a poem about my age. Hope you enjoy it.

10 by Chrissy
Ten, an age of being trapped,
in the middle of a teen and a kid.
People may call me a little girl,
but I feel as though I'm not,
like a tiny caterpillar, still wrapped in its cacoon, waiting to get out.

When I was 7, no worries came to my head,
but now its the opposite,
wriggling violently in my bed.

I feel when I will be older,
some of these worries will be long gone,
but some new ones will accurr,
much different than when I was young.

I feel as though ten, isn't an easy age,
but I'm afraid when I get older, this will change.
I might be just like the others,
who called me a little girl.

Ten. Ten. Ten.
It rings through my head.
It doesn't sound like a little girl to me,
can't you see?

I know, It's good, right! There were some girls who wrote even better stories in my opinion.

Keep on writing,
Chrissy
