You may know my old blog, "Making the World a Better Place." Well, it hit the dust. Now, I have created this new blog, to tell about a story I'm making. It's called, "Diary of Rachel Dustwater"
It is about a girl who lives in the years 1876-1877. Her family is moving from Missouri to Hosuton, Texas. And as you can tell by the title that it is her diary.
I've been working on this story since late summer and I'm on page 42! My goal is to get up to at least 60 pages, which isn't that hard at this point.
I will start posting the chapters on here so you can look at them and tell me how you like it.
If you want to know how hard I really am working on this story, here is a list.
~I've been posting chapters on a message board, to get some advice about how it is.
~I've started reading the "Little House" books, for reference.
~I've been scribbling down drawings for what Rachel will look like, because I'm going to do my cover art.
~I'v given my BFF (who is going to do a little bit of inside illustarations arranged by me) an un-finished emergency copy of my book, so she can take a good look at it.
That's pretty much it. So, as you can see, I've been working so hard on this book, that I didn't have time to do my other blog.
Next post, I will post my intro to Rachel and give you some info. And maybe even some tips on how to write ficton.
