My third chapter

Here is chapter number 3 everyone! Enjoy!

November 29, 1876
All of my friends were back from their thanksgiving feasts and they all were playing together, along with me.
We shared our stories about how our thanksgiving was.
On my turn I told about everything from the feast to the note and everyone was fascinated.
Then Carol Noheart came up to us and bragged, “Well, I got to swim in the lake right next to the bay and all of my family was there.”
Everyone rushed up to Carol except me. As I sat there I heard lots of “Oooos” and “Ahhhs.” And everyone ignored me and walked away with Carol in the lead.
I then walked home, sad and grumpy, because my friends had deserted me.
As I walked in the door my parents sat down with me. Ma put on her serious face and said to me, “We have decided where to build the new house,” she exclaimed calmly. I looked up at her. “Where?” “In Houston, Texas,” Ma said sternly, “Your Pa got a job as a wood carpenter.”
“But, that’s hundreds of miles away, Ma!” I said, shocked. “I know,” said Pa. “But I would really love to have this job. We have to take this.”
My stomach turned over. I was moving for the first time in my life.

I'm so glad you guys are enjoying my stories. Remember my poll in the left corner of the blog. I'll post a new one today!
Ok, I haven't been doing this for awhile, but now its time for my daily writing tip!Today's writing tip is take breaks. Sometimes, when you work on a story for an hour or two, or even more, you feel terrible. You feel like you haven't been away from the computer for a long time. If this happens (which its happened to me), take a short walk, do some chores around the house, go shopping for something you wanted to buy, anything. It helps. Trust me!

Keep on writing,
Chrissy
